An amazing trip that can make you live the deep Argentina, its native roots, with customs belonging to the incas and with a colonial past that can be noticed in its buildings and life styles. Between valleys, climbing the clouds of the Puna and enjoying the wineries of Cafayate.
In the province of Jujuy, Argentina, is located the Quebrada de Humahuaca, where you can find the unique multicoloured hills. The native forts, the prehistoric caves, arquitecture and prints reveal a region that has been a witness of the human evolution across the years. From this comes that the UNESCO has declarated it a “cultural itinerary of 10.000 years” and a “system of exceptional characteristics”.
The Quebrada de Humahuaca starts at 39 km from San Salvador de Jujuy, through route 9, and it ocupates 170 km of valleys and mountains from south to north. The hills have different colours according to the minerals they have.
The landscape is at 2000 and 4000 meters above the sea level.
